John Gahan

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT & CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

John Gahan serves as the Assistant Superintendent and Chief Financial Officer for the Pewaukee School District, a role he has held since February 2005. Over his more than 20 years with the district, John has been instrumental in managing major initiatives, including a successful referendum project, effective budgeting, and maximizing resources to stretch district funds while completing critical projects. Known for his careful planning, financial acumen, and commitment to the district’s long-term success, John’s leadership ensures that students, staff, and the community benefit from well-managed programs and thoughtfully executed improvements. His dedication and expertise make him a vital part of the district’s ongoing growth and achievement.

PLE MATH INTERVENTIONIST

Tara McNamara

Tara McNamara, math interventionist and learning coach at Pewaukee Lake Elementary, exemplifies the impact of thoughtful, student-centered instructional support. Since joining the district in 2013, Tara has seamlessly blended her roles as interventionist and coach, providing both direct support to students and guidance to teachers in ways that elevate learning for all. She works closely with educators to model effective strategies, co-plan lessons, and offer practical solutions that enhance classroom instruction, always keeping the focus on empowering students to succeed. Tara’s involvement in grade-level PLCs, push-in interventions, and individualized coaching demonstrates her ability to connect big-picture instructional goals with day-to-day classroom practice. Known for her collaborative spirit, insight, and unwavering dedication, she consistently strengthens teacher effectiveness while ensuring that every learner at Pewaukee Lake Elementary receives the support they need to thrive.

PHS ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL

Jane Matter

Jane Matter serves as the Associate Principal at the high school and is widely respected for her leadership, integrity, and compassion. She consistently provides strength and guidance to both students and staff, empowering them to thrive and fostering a positive, supportive school culture. Jane leads by example—approaching every challenge with excitement, responsiveness, and a solutions-focused mindset—while always keeping the best interests of students at the forefront. Known for her ability to communicate effectively, listen empathetically, and implement creative solutions, she ensures that staff and students feel valued, cared for, and supported. Her dedication, positivity, and thoughtful leadership have created a lasting impact on the Pewaukee School District and continue to inspire everyone she works with.

PLE INSTRUCTIONAL COACH

Kari Ridolfi

Kari Ridolfi, instructional coach at Pewaukee Lake Elementary, is a driving force behind the school’s literacy initiatives. From the rollout of Act 20 to integrating multiple reading and writing programs, she plays a central role in analyzing curriculum, supporting instructional decisions, and guiding meaningful change. Kari evaluates literacy programs, monitors classroom effectiveness, and helps shape systems that support student growth, including assessment cycles, reading plans, and curriculum transitions. Even behind the scenes, she provides thoughtful, consistent support that empowers educators and strengthens instruction. Her leadership, dedication, and ability to manage complex initiatives make her an invaluable part of the PLE community.

ASA CLARK MIDDLE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Katie Spadoni

Katie Spadoni serves as the principal of Asa Clark Middle School and is widely recognized for her exceptional leadership, vision, and deep commitment to both students and staff. She works tirelessly to bring the school community together, creating opportunities for parents, staff, and students to share perspectives, collaborate, and improve processes. Known for her proactive planning, clear communication, and quick thinking, Katie approaches challenges with optimism and strategic focus, making even complex situations feel manageable. She is passionate about supporting students who are struggling and ensures her staff has the guidance and resources needed to do the same. Through her genuine care, competence, and unwavering dedication, Katie empowers those around her, strengthens the school community, and inspires positive outcomes for all.

Eric Austin

5TH GRADE TEACHER 

Eric Austin, a dedicated teacher in the Pewaukee School District since 2010, has made a lasting impact on students, families, and colleagues through his engaging, student-centered approach. After nine years teaching 3rd grade at Pewaukee Lake Elementary, he began teaching 5th grade at Horizon in 2019, bringing humor, guidance, and important life lessons into his classroom. Known for his calm, steady presence and positive attitude, Eric consistently steps in wherever he is needed, supporting both students and staff while helping situations run smoothly. His flexibility, reliability, and quiet leadership strengthen the school community every day. Beyond the classroom, he is deeply involved in the Pewaukee community, volunteering with Pewaukee Youth Football, coaching youth baseball, and serving as an assistant coach for the Pewaukee Varsity Football team, demonstrating his dedication to supporting students and families both in school and through athletics.

FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE TEACHER

Ryan Demers

Ryan Demers has been a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Pewaukee High School since 2012 and is known for his energy, creativity, and genuine passion for students. He has built a thriving program that consistently draws more students than can be accommodated, providing countless opportunities for learners to explore and excel in the culinary arts. Beyond teaching, Ryan advises the Culinary Club and co-advises FCCLA, sharing his love of food, community, and hands-on learning with students in fun and engaging ways. He inspires students to “spread their wings and fly” while fostering a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging environment. Outside of school, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, gardening, raising chickens, and catering—bringing the same enthusiasm, curiosity, and warmth to his personal life as he does to his classroom.

CUSTODIAN 

Richard Moncada

Richard Moncada, custodian at Asa Clark Middle School, is a cornerstone of the school community whose dedication makes a difference every day. He approaches his work with efficiency, attention to detail, and pride, ensuring the building is clean, safe, and welcoming for all. Rick consistently goes above and beyond, often anticipating needs before they arise and stepping in wherever he’s needed. Beyond his work, he is known for his warmth and friendliness, greeting students, staff, and visitors with a smile and helping create a positive environment. Whether assisting with unexpected issues or supporting school events, he is always willing to help, and his reliability, kindness, and strong work ethic leave a lasting impact on the entire school community.

ACMS Math Team

The ACMS Math Team—led by Melissa Schulz, with Jess Weiss (7th grade), Jeff Patzer (8th grade), and Dyna Karas-Schilling (6th grade)—has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to student learning and instructional excellence. Over the past several years, they have embraced innovative teaching methods to increase engagement and deepen understanding of math standards, working collaboratively to create meaningful learning experiences for every student. Their collective effort and commitment have led to outstanding results, with ACMS achieving a state ranking of 6th in math achievement. Known for their teamwork, creativity, and relentless focus on student success, this group has made a significant impact on both the school community and the district, earning well-deserved recognition for their exceptional performance.

CHOIR & GENERAL MUSIC TEACHER

Krystle Stingle

Krystle Stingle is a Choir and General Music teacher at Horizon, whose passion, energy, and dedication make her an inspiring presence in the classroom. She creates a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, try new things, and confidently share their talents, fostering both musical growth and personal confidence. Known for her positive energy and high levels of student engagement, Krystle goes above and beyond to meet each student’s needs, providing thoughtful guidance and individualized support, including piano instruction that helps students build skill, independence, and performance confidence. Through her creativity, care, and commitment, Krystle opens doors for students to grow not only as musicians but as confident, capable individuals, making a lasting impact on everyone she teaches.
