COURSE CATALOG
The Pewaukee School District offers over 60 Summer School courses over the span of four sessions. Referencing the graphic below, Session A and B courses are for students who are entering grades 1st through 8th. Session C and D courses are for students entering 9th through 12th. Lastly, PLE offers "Jump Start" courses for our incoming 4K, 5K, and 1st Grade learners that also follow the Session A and B schedule. For more information on Jump Start, click on the links below.

Animal Detectives
Can you identify this mystery animal? I have been known to eat the handles of rowboat oars, and even steering wheels on cars. This is just one of many animal mysteries we will unlock. Our focus will be upon the study of Wisconsin species. Students will also take home a souvenir

ATV/Snowmobile Safety
This class is taught by a DNR trained instructor. Students will learn about ATVs including riding, laws and safety. There is a test that is given during the class in which students must pass with at least 80% to obtain a license. Required: Please note that students must be in attendance all 10 days and pay a fee of $10 $20.

Biology doesn’t just happen

Looking forward to having a blast this summer?Join your friends and experience the fun of playing a variety of backyard games.
Band
Students will have a dedicated hour to play their instruments alongside students from other sections. This collaborative time allows students to experience making music together, build ensemble skills, and connect with other beginning band members. It's a fun opportunity to learn how individual parts come together to create a full band sound. Pre-requisite: Students should be currently enrolled and in possession of their instrument.
Base Ball
Step up to the plate for a summer of fun! In this action-packed class, kids will learn the basics of wiffle ball, practice their swings, and dive into friendly games that build teamwork and coordination. Perfect for players of all skill levels, it’s all about big hits, quick throws, and tons of laughs!

Have you hugged a tree
today? We’ll discover all the
important things that trees
give us. Walking trips on campus and into the woods
will provide us with hands-on exploration of the mighty machines and a source of leaves for our tree identification booklets. Each student will plant a tree seed to take home. We’ll also add some
drama to our class as we act out the inner workings of the tree.

you have a chance to live

this exciting class you will
experiment with fun dramatic situations and activities. The course will culminate in a presentation in front of an audience.

Bringing Books to Life
Bring books to life by listening to and reading them. Students may create and/or perform a puppet show, play dress up, draw a picture, write a story or poem about their book. The ideas are endless!
Building and Design
Students will use many building materials such as Legos, omnifix cubes, toothpicks, etc. to design and build just like engineers!
Boater Safety

This chess class offers competitive matches and strategies for the player that is advanced and knows chess.

Snip it, clip it, bead it, melt it, fold it, twist it, press it, and string it. This is just the beginning of what we will be doing. We’ll create some crafts that are crazy and kooky, and when you are done, you’ll get to take it home. Be part of the fun!

Unleash your imagination in Creative Writing, where young authors will explore the exciting world of storytelling! We'll practice crafting vivid characters, building imaginative settings, and developing engaging plots through fun writing prompts and group sharing. This class is perfect for budding writers eager to discover their unique voice and transform their ideas into polished stories and poems.
Cricut Crafts
Do you love crafting and creating? Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? Try out Cricut Crafts this summer. Learn the Cricut graphic design program to make crafts come alive. Work with a range of materials from cardstock to iron-on vinyl to create your very own personalized, professional-looking projects. Leave this class with your own goodies! Requirement: Students will be asked to bring items from home that they would like to make vinyl stickers for like a water bottle, cell phone case or notebook. Iron-on items could be a pair of plain colored socks or a mostly cotton t-shirt.
