BREN SAWALL
Bren is a 17-year resident of Pewaukee. She received a degree in Nursing from Riverland Community College in Minnesota in 1994. After working as a nurse she moved into a Management role and assumed the position of Regional Nurse/Clinical Manager overseeing the building, hiring, and operations of clinics throughout several states.
​
She furthered her education in 2013 when she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ottawa University. After that, she moved into the role of Director of Operations for Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative. Bren and her husband are also real estate investors and own multi-family properties in SE Wisconsin.
​
Volunteering at Horizon School and other opportunities as they arise are part of her commitment to our district’s children. She has two grandchildren in the PSD, Hailey in 7th and Jay in 10th.
Bren sings and has been on the Music Ministry Team @ Springcreek Church for the past 17 years. She also plays piano, loves the arts, and enjoys attending concerts and theater. She and her husband love outdoor activities, including kayaking, boating, skiing, Pickle Ball and hiking.

ASHLEY ROSS
Ashley and her family have been residents of Pewaukee since 2013. Ashley received a bachelor's degree from UW-Madison in psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University. She spent just over 10 years working in both residential and intensive outpatient programs for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders through Rogers Memorial Hospital. Ashley then transitioned into outpatient therapy where she currently works as a Licensed Professional Counselor with Lifestance Counseling in Brookfield. Ashley has also served as a member and then treasurer of the Pewaukee Junior Woman's Guild.
Ashley and her husband Dan have three children in the district, Owen (’30), Isabel (’31), and Emelia (’34) who have all attended school in the district since 4K. She has been an active participant in their education by being involved as a classroom helper, volunteer, and chaperone. Ashley has also been involved in the district as a mentor in the insight program at the high school since 2019.
Ashley enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, horseback riding, attending and volunteering at church, skiing, hiking, boating, and cheering her kids on in their sports.

STACEY NEWCOMER
Stacey is a 20-year resident of Pewaukee. She received a degree in Accounting from Marquette University and worked in public accounting and hospital finance before becoming a stay-at-home mom and busy volunteer. Stacey served as fundraising analyst and treasurer of the PTO as well as treasurer and president of the Booster Club. She has enjoyed volunteering as a math mentor and a library volunteer in the district. She also serves as a children’s leader at her Bible study. Over the years, she has been involved in the District’s strategic planning process as well as various search committees. Stacey has served as the Board president since the fall of 2023 and finds serving on the school board to be very rewarding. She appreciates being able to support the district administration and staff in their daily work to open the door to each child’s future.

Stacey and her husband Mark have watched their three children graduate from Pewaukee School District (Adam ’18, Emily ’20, Sarah ’22) and are now helping their nephew to find success at Pewaukee High School.
​
Stacey and Mark enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and going to their cottage “up north.” You will often find them in a gym/stadium cheering on the Pirates, the Golden Eagles, and the Bucks.

MATT WIDENHOEFT
Matt and his family have lived in Pewaukee since 2015. He received his undergraduate degree from UW-Whitewater majoring in Operations Management. He has worked at Harley Davidson Motor Co. for the past 18 years, currently as a Commercial Project Manager and has held various roles in that time, spanning across Portfolio Management,
Sales, Marketing, Motorcycle Customization and Design.
Matt and his wife Caitlin have two children in the district, Auden (‘35) and Asher (’37). He’s an active father involved in the district as a parent volunteer at PLE and is a part of the Insight program at the high school. He’s also been involved in the Strategic Planning and Long-Range Facility Planning processes since 2022.
Matt enjoys spending time outdoors, classic cars and vacationing on the beach. He also has a long time hobby of woodworking and obtained his General Contractor’s license in early 2024, with a particular interest in finish carpentry.

LARRY DUX
Larry Dux was the Director of Patient Care Informatics and Process Improvement at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Hospital Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and a Diplomat of the Society for Health Systems, a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, and a Life Fellow/CPHIMS member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. He has extensive experience in teaching and applying process improvement tools and techniques.
He has served as a Wisconsin Forward Award (WFA) Examiner since 2004 and has participated in nine WFA site visits. Larry has served on the Pewaukee School District Board of Education for over 20 years and is very proud that the District received the Wisconsin Governor’s Forward Award of Excellence in 2010 and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2013.

MARY LARSON
Mary Larson holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Mount Mary College and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University. Mary’s experience in the teaching profession includes K-12 math and science at University Lake School, math and science at Bryant Stratton and Waukesha County Technical colleges, and high school math in the Shorewood School District. Most recently, Mary deployed to the Mediterranean with the U.S. Navy as a math instructor in their College Afloat program, and, in like capacity, deployed three times to the Eastern Pacific with the U.S. Coast Guard.

Mary also worked for the Wauwatosa Recreation Department as a gymnastics instructor for disabled and K-11 children; and as a gymnastics coach for the Wauwatosa West High School girls’ gymnastics team.
​
Mary is a former executive search consultant and past president of Robert E. Larson & Associates, Inc., and a past president of the Data Processing Management Association – Milwaukee Chapter. She has been a home-owner in Pewaukee since 2009.

TRAVIS KRUGER
Travis and his family have lived in Pewaukee since 2011. Travis received his undergraduate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University with a double major in Business Administration and Marketing. He went on to get an MBA in Corporate Communication from Concordia University Wisconsin. Travis currently works as a Sales Director for Accutech Security.

Travis and his wife Brittany have three children in the district. Henry ('31), Evelyn ('32), and Arthur ('37) who have all attended school at Pewaukee since 4K. Travis is active in his church, as a chaperone on field trips, a coach, and a volunteer within the district. He has also been involved in the strategic planning process at Pewaukee throughout the years.
Travis enjoys spending time outdoors with his family biking, camping, fishing, and playing disc golf.
