PEWAUKEE, WI - At its Oct. 22 meeting, the Pewaukee School District Board of Education approved a district tax levy of $26,051,903 for the 2018-19 school year. This marks the third consecutive year with a levy reduction and the fourth decrease in the last five years.
The resulting $9.47 rate per $1,000 of property value is also the lowest levy in the past 25 years. Since 2013, the district’s tax rate has decreased by a total of $2.37 (or 20%) per $1,000 of property value.
“We are happy to announce the decrease to our residents,” said Dr. Mike Cady, PhD - Superintendent of Schools. “There are many components to the levy formula and we’re fortunate to have a third consecutive reduction to the tax levy and the lowest tax rate in 25 years. We take great pride in being responsible stewards of the resources our community bestows upon us.”
