PLE WELCOMES BROCKMAN AS AP

Rebecca Brockman Named New Associate Principal at Pewaukee Lake Elementary

With more than a decade of educational experience, Brockman joins Pewaukee Lake Elementary's leadership team as Associate Principal.

Pewaukee, WI – The Pewaukee School District is pleased to announce Rebecca Brockman as the new Associate Principal of Pewaukee Lake Elementary. Brockman joins Principal Brian Siegel in leading the school, replacing Beth Ingersoll, who accepted a Principal position with the Watertown School District. She brings more than 10 years of experience in education, instructional leadership, and student support to the Pirate community.

Brockman earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2014 before receiving a Master of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where she also earned her Wisconsin DPI 5051 Principal License. She spent the first 10 years of her career at Raymond Elementary School, teaching a variety of subjects, primarily Science and English-Language Arts. During that time, she served as Lead Teacher before being promoted to Dean of Students. Most recently, Brockman served as Dean of Students for the Delavan-Darien School District, supporting both Delavan-Darien High School and Darien Elementary School.

"I accepted this position because I believe every student deserves a school where they feel supported, challenged, and valued, and I am excited to partner with the PLE community to help make that vision a reality," said Brockman. "During my interview, when I was asked why I should be selected for the position, I very honestly said, 'I want this job really bad...more than anyone else!' The panel and I shared a good laugh, but I was completely sincere. From the moment I learned more about Pewaukee Lake Elementary and the Pewaukee community, I knew this was where I wanted to be. Pewaukee is now my home, and I am excited to put down roots, build meaningful relationships, and invest in this community for years to come."

"We are so excited to welcome Rebecca to PLE!" said Brian Siegel, Principal of Pewaukee Lake Elementary. "With more than a decade of experience and having served as a Dean of Students in Delavan-Darien, she brings outstanding experience to our school. Her passion for building relationships with students and their families immediately stood out to us and perfectly aligns with the values of our close-knit Pewaukee community. Rebecca even shared that school should be 'a community where students feel known and supported,' and that is the very foundation of how we approach education here at PLE."

Dr. Mike Cady, Superintendent of Pewaukee Schools, said, "Ms. Brockman was selected as the next Associate Principal at PLE through a rigorous and highly competitive hiring process by demonstrating her strong understanding of instruction, talent for leadership, and track record of establishing meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families. We are excited to welcome Rebecca to our leadership team."

Outside of school, Brockman enjoys spending time with her husband of nine years, Jon, and their golden retriever, Wando. The two first met in grade school and enjoy spending Wisconsin summers with family and friends, attending local events, making memories with their three nephews, and enjoying the outdoors. An avid reader, Brockman also values opportunities to build meaningful relationships both personally and professionally within the community she now calls home.

Pewaukee School District is a public 4K-12 district offering an award-winning, future-ready education to over 3,000 students on a unique, single-campus setting. We are passionately committed to our mission to open the door to each child’s future.
